hi this is quite distant idea, but WinTopo r2v software use canny algo. but prupose is r2v, not sat image interp. sorry not much help. -

hi, perhaps are you looking for "usgs quarter quad" shpfile index? sounds like size of DOQQ images. if you search you should file by state easily. national data may be at the FSA/USDA Geodata Gateway, besides ton of other data [hide] http://datagateway.nrcs.usda.gov/ [/hide] -
hi there is lot of modis data at the usgs lpdaac data pool, do you know about it? [hide] https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/get_data/data_pool [/hide] no order needed, just ftp dl, hope it helps.
