i guess a good thing of arcgis pro is that you can have the pro version and desktop side by side, so you can work with both software especially in the first time of the pro version. I personally think that this kind of "gis for everyone" like arcgis online and now arcgis pro will provide a powerful tool in inexperienced hands who will create some cool / nice stuffs but maybe with misconceptions in the nature of the map / product... maybe it sounds catastrophic but still maps have their consequences..
