beberapa software dikhususkan untuk satu jenis pemrosesan, sedangkan untuk software dengan fungsi umum yang diuraikan, sepertinya tidak ada yang namanya paling powerfull, semua tergantung kepada personal preference saja, ane sendiri lebih suka ke ENVI, tetapi ERDAS tampaknya membuat model pengolahan dengan wizard sehingga lebih mudah untuk pemula. untuk pengolahan citra disarankan untuk memilih software remote sensing saja, sehingga ArcGIS lebih baik dihindari ehehehehe Ermapper sendiri sekarang telah dibeli oleh ERDAS, so memakai ERMAPPER ya pasti terkait erat dengan ERDAS jadi, pilihan tergantung kecocokan situ saja sih. antara ENVI, ERDAS atau PCI kalo ane liat ERDAS mungkin mempunyai solusi terlengkap di portofolionya untuk semua tahapan pengolahan citra

as i know, split by attributes, splits a feature class into multiple featureclasses according to unique values. the minimum bounding geometry tool makes a boundary around each featureclass. this is good but after using union tool, there will be gaps between the regions. how could you fill those gaps and fixing possible overlaps?

can you provide the img as example? did you tried with FME Workbench? maybe http://www.qlandkarte.org/ just fit your requirements if you just Need to share a img map in another gps system

For server, it seems to be perfect to used Hyper-V. Not tested personally but see my company playing with. Hope that will help you. darksabersan.
