There was a free utility (from Mentor Software) called GeoTiffExaminer, to copy the georeferenciation info from GeoTiff to world file and back. Apparently, it is no more available for download. Keep in mind that georef is related to upper-left corner of your image. If you resize or crop it, the reference is no more valid !1 point
