maunaloa
Olla members ! A made a great geodatabase, full with shapefiles. A wanted to select one feature from a shapefile, and hide the others on the same shapefile. Anyone have idea? I tested the f1>help>search for keyword, but i don't see any solution. Help meh:) Ahoy
Lurker
i think its impossible to hide feature while show the others in the same shapefile if its different file then you can make the rule to hide it, but, if it's one file (one shapefile) and you want to show part of it while hide the other part, i think its impossible :embarrassed:
123456qwerty
Why dont you do a Definition Query based on the particular ID for that feature. It should work.
guitar10
Yes! Only define query for feature(s) which you prefer to show. If you using ArcGIS; - Open shapefile then right click on the layer; - From drop down menu choose Properties and on opened panel go to the tab Definition Query; - Define query using SQL language or click on button Query Builder and use some criteria to select feature that you want. It is all. After that you will see only selected feature(s).
maunaloa
Hi! I've found an another solution: there is an addon, called "xgArcApp", and with that you can select an object, and click on one button, and the all other features on the same shape will hide, and the selected stay. My opinion, that this is faster and a bit simple than the query method. Olla!
