AS
Hello everybody, I want to know if someone has some experiences with low cost gopro Hero 4 black edition cameras for photogrammetry? I want to install the system in a remote place (Cordillera of the Andes, Bolivia). The project will consist to take a stereo pair each day for a year to measure the growing plants in an area of 1 square meter (precision of 1-2 cms)... If someone have some experiences and can share it with me, I will be very grateful... Thanks, Alvaro

Thanks, Alvaro If the subject doesn't move too much (no wind on the leaves, etc.) and the camera is fixed, it will probably work, but don't expect extraordinary results (because of the ultrawide lens, resolution is lower on the border of the images. If the subject or camera are moving (including vibrations), then the rolling shutter will be a severe limitation. For a serious project, I will rather use a compact camera with a "normal" lens and a global shutter.
