Reyalino
Dear GIS Area, I am planning to install GDAL for python. I found this guide from gis.usu.edu: (http://www.gis.usu.edu/~chrisg/python/2009/docs/gdal_win.pdf). Will it affected my python geoprocessing in ArcGIS? because last time when I update the python, I can't run arcpy modules trough IDLE. Thanks in advance regards, reya
cslraju
It's bit late to reply. Based on your OS build environment (x86/x64), why don't you use Advanced User installer from here https://www.qgis.org/en/site/forusers/download.html? If you select advanced mode, you'll be able to install Python, GEOS, GDAL and various library which are hard compile from source in Windows platform. And the Python from OSGeo does not hamper ArcGI Python. Edited February 2, 2015 by cslraju
