dianaz
A short pre proposal to NASA is needed. The topic issue is how to create a new Southeast Florida for 2014 using imagery available from the orbital satellites. NASA is most interested in obtaining accurate land cover classes that depict water surfaces, woody vegetation cover, urban areas, and grass-dominated areas. What classification algorithms would you use and why? How would you incorporate training and validation data and what standards would you use to decide if the land cover products are acceptable? What might the limitation be of the satellite-based approach you are proposing?
sigologo
Hi Dianaz for you proposal, you first evaluate MODIS product, Vegetation, LST, Landcover etc, is very easy data, next for classification small areas, Perhaps Landsat 8..... maximum likelihood classification any way!!! Tell more about this area.... SouthEast Florida ..... Near Miami area??? o another area?? See you lator Alligator
