group5e
Hello everyone, Don't do very much remote sensing work at all so I have to ask, which imagery would you select for vegetation interpretation and why? I will be using the IR band. Geoeye-1 Pleiades WorldView-2 Assuming the cloud cover is not a factor.
Arhanghelul
Me, I would use WorldView-2. Because it has 8 multispectral bands, especialy the Red edge and 2 NIR bands. It also have 1 pancromatic band of 0.5 m spatial resolution. So you can pansharp the multispectral bands. WorldView-2 also has a much better temporal coverage. And there are also many research papers and studies about vegetation and WorldView-2 topic. See here more details about WorldView-2 here: http://www.digitalglobe.com/downloads/WorldView2-DS-WV2-Web.pdf Edited March 6, 2014 by Arhanghelul
