deepgis
I have IRS P6 data with 5 m resolution. Could anybody tell me how to orthorectify the image without RCP's. I have DEM of the area covered by the image. Is there any way to orthorectify the image using only dem. I am looking forward to reply. darksabersan
Hi deepgis, Use Erdas Imagine. Have look to this presentation: https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=https://www.digitalglobe.com/sites/default/files/DigitalGlobe_RPC_in_ERDAS_IMAGINE.pdf&embedded=true&chrome=true
deepgis
Thanks darkabersan. I went through the presentation but in my case I don't have RPC's so I want to orthorectify my image without RPC's but I want to use dem only. Razeeni
I don't think that you can avoid using RPC data. Your image is in pixel coordinate system, i.e. the origin point is located at the top left corner. You have to transform the image to image coordinate system (interior orientation) and finally to object coordinate system (exterior coordinate system). RPC data contains the coefficients necessary for these transformations. Best wishes.
