Administrators EmperoR Posted October 1, 2012 Administrators Report Share Posted October 1, 2012 From their sites : Advances in the remote sensing industry are providing users with more imagery of higher resolution than ever before. This data deluge phenomenon is commonly referred to as “Big Data” and Intergraph image compression technology has been helping thousands of organizations across the globe manage the issues associated with Big Data for more than 14 years. The Enhanced Compressed Wavelet (ECW) format is undergoing a major transformation to keep up with these market developments, introducing a series of format improvements to meet market demands and jump even further ahead of competing storage formats. During this webinar we will demonstrate the new capabilities of the ECW Version 3.0 format and ERDAS ECW JP2 SDK Version 5.0 that will provide faster encoding and even faster decoding performance. There are also numerous non-functional improvements that will be highlighted including platform ports of the SDK, metadata improvements, and licensing changes. ECW Plugin located here : http://geospatial.intergraph.com/products/other/ecw/ECWPlugins/Downloads.aspx this is viewer only, to compress image into ECW format, you need SDK

And the last ecw sdk have the v4.3.. The download is free but is necessary a license file to work wtih the sdk..
