Administrators EmperoR Posted November 26, 2011 Administrators Report Share Posted November 26, 2011 CartoVista 3.5 adds the ability to deliver map layers stored on a server, a new heatmap thematic type as well as many user interface enhancements and a Software Developement Kit (SDK) update. DBx GEOMATICS today announced a new release of its CartoVista thematic mapping solution. CartoVista 3.5 adds the ability to deliver map layers stored on a server, a new heatmap thematic type as well as many user interface enhancements and a Software Developement Kit (SDK) update. By adding server layers, CartoVista 3.5 simplifies the use of highly complex GIS data. Server based layers remove the limitations in terms of the number of interactive features in a map layer. Also, working directly with information stored in map files on a server or in relational databases, any live geographic data can be visualized in a CartoVista application. “With raster and vector mode rendering, server layers and CartoVista 3.5 open up a new world of possibilities for dynamic map content” , said Dany Bouchard, President of DBx GEOMATICS inc. “We can now more effectively display very large datasets, millions of customer records for example, for analysis in the CartoVista interface.” Heatmaps offer a new type of data display to highlight the relative density in a point dataset. The colors assigned to a specific location in the heatmap indicate its relative strength (or weakness) in comparison to other data points in the layer. This new release also features multiple enhancements to the user interface (selection, info tool, data table) and the Software Development Kit (SDK) which includes many new sample projects to get started in customizing the solution with Adobe Flash Builder. source : [hide] http://www.cartovista.com/ [/hide]
