Jecika
Hi, Does anyone know the procedure to create a block project for StereoAnalyst use with RadarSAT-2 HH SLC images? Have bunch of those images and they are not stereo-pair type. Also have to extract a DEM and have terrible results …..does not look like DEM at all So if someone can give me some hints Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you
Lurker
on your case, what software you using to process those data ?
Jecika
Yeh... I forgat to mention the most important thing Erdas, LPS to create a project and trying to see in 3D in StereoAnalyst thanks
3dbu
yeah , use Leica Photogrametric suite (LPS) of ERDAS there get the module for make a block and work with all photogrametric process. good luck. regards
Jecika
But problem is I can't make block project with those type of images! Can you suggest what kind of Geometric Model Category should I use I think I tried them all Thanks
Administrators EmperoR Posted July 12, 2011 Administrators Report Share Posted July 12, 2011 NOTE form ERDAS All these formats will work throughout the IMAGINE Radar Mapping Suite (RMS), except for IMAGINE StereoSAR DEM, which only RadarSAT provides stereo pairs if radar imagery. None of these formats work within the LPS tools. You must use them within the IMAGINE Radar Mapping Suite of tools. read here [hide] http://www.erdas.com/service/support/knowledgebase/Details/What_we_can_do_with_RADARSAT-2_in_ERDAS_IMAGINE.aspx [/hide] Hem, too bad I never use ERDAS before
Jecika
Thank you very much for taking you time to answer me If I can’t make a project in LPS with RadarSat-2, can I maybe create a project in LPS with epipolars extracted from Radarsar-2? If so, witch Geometric Model Category should I use? Thank you again
pasfans01
Every photogrammetric software usually need certain parameter in order to doing photogrammetric tasks like DEM extraction or orthorectification, and "specific parameters" that I was mentioned before usually stored in the image metadata (in certain format too), so I think you should check does your data fulfill the software requirement or not, based on my experience, its often people trying to do some image analysis task without knowing the workflow or the requirements to do appropriate processing,
Jecika
Can you point me in the right direction of the workflow for RadarSAT-2 images to extract a DEM and to see in 3D for stereoscopic work that I need to do Thank you
Lurker
I think for RADAR file you need to use this tool [hide] http://www.erdas.com/products/ERDASIMAGINE/IMAGINERadarMappingSuite/Details.aspx [/hide] it contains ; IMAGINE OrthoRadar IMAGINE Radar Interpreter IMAGINE StereoSAR DEM IMAGINE SAR Interferometry I think stereo pair for SAR data use Imagine StereoSAR DEm tool  :embarrassed: just my two cent
negra
May be first of all you must convert SLC to SGF. Because SLC type use for interferometric processing. But for stereo uses SGF and SGX types/ And then IMAGINE StereoSAR DEM
Jecika
Can you tell me how do I do that? I see there is a Radar Convert tool ...is it Domain conversion....Radiometric conversion... Thank you
negra
In my ERDAS 9.1 it's situated Radar - Radar Intrepeter-Adjust Slant Range. This procedure in common calls slant to ground range conversion. It will be better if you read before help for this procedure to correct processing your image. . Jecika
Thank you for taking your time to answer me I'll read about adjusting to slant range.......good tips
Percy
Hi, I have a problem to generate DEM with interferometry, I need to convert the Radarsat images type 2 SGF to SLC. It is possible that process.
negra
As I understand you want to create slc from sgf , yes? It's impossible. As far as I know.
