MobileMapper 100 and terrasync
By nicki_d,
I am unpacking/installing software on new ashtech mobilemapper 100. We have several Trimble units, but wanted to give MM a shot. I have successfully downloaded terrasync to MM (mostly because I don't want to retrain my field crew). Can anybody tell me why I can't connect to GPS? It says the GPS is in use by another program, but I uninstalled MM Field.
Any help would be much appreciated as all my experience is with Trimble

Monitoring rainforest dieback
By oz1,
I would like to monitor forest dieback over time using remote sensing. It's happening in scattered small areas & is very patchy so Landsat TM does not have enough resolution.
Could anyone help by suggesting which satellite to use (Worldview?) and what is the best vegetation index or data transform please?
