How to deal with images from different sensors - Landsat and SPOT for creating NDVI time series analysis?
By Georgeina,
Hello Colleagues,
I really need help and fast too.
I am carrying out a change trajectory change detection analysis looking at how much has changed over the last 25 to 30 years over a local community.
My timeline for this review is between 1986 to 2012. I want to generate a NDVI time series over this area so I need at least 15 images to compute NDVI and subject it into a statistical analysis.
Landsat data over this area within 1985 to 2000 is very sparse and so there
GIS Virtual Machines
By pjduplooy,
Hi guys
I was about to give a link to three GIS Virtual Machines that I purchased, but now have decided to create my own based on Ubuntu Server 16.04. I plan the following versions:
1. PostGIS and GeoServer
2. PostGIS and MapServer, and
3. PostGIS and QGIS Server
Besides these packages, and dependencies, there will also be Shellinabox, and Samba.
PostGIS will also include a couple of extra extensions like Pointcloud, PgRouting and FDW.
I would like to know if the
Needing ideas for a ArcGIS Online/ArcGIS ModelBuilder project!
By janpisl,
Hi everyone,
I am looking for ideas for a project I will be doing for my Internet GIS class. The final product is going to be a custom Web Application published on ArcGIS Online with data stored in a SQL geodatabase. I want to include one or more custom widgets (ie tools developed in ArcMap ModelBuilder and published online) but I cannot think of any model that would be useful/interesting and that could be implemented in a Web App.
I would be very grateful if you could throw in some

Measuring border/edge on cover type map (currently in pdf format)
By lgisf,
Hello,
I am trying to measure diversity index by using a cover type map of an area of land. The cover type map is a pdf. My plan was to somehow pull the map into GIS create a grid (1000 ft by 1000 ft). Then I am going to use a random number generator to choose the squares that I want evaluate. Once I have the squares I am going to measure the amount of border/edge of the different cover types using the measure tool. The problem is getting the pdf into arc so that I can measure the lines.
